This one deserved immortality, found on a stroll Winchelsea way.


I found this lovely bird whilst walking by the sea and brought him home to paint. The common blackbird is in fact a species of thrush and four and twenty of them make a pie. Follow the link to an excellent blacbird.http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=wDsS2Oub8lA

I shall post some of the entries from a diary in which a charming lady periodically comments on the weather and wildlife in her garden. Although it spans the 1930s to 1960s she never mentions any world events, only whether the thrushes are singing and when, or if it has snowed or not.
